Please note that the event is held on farmed grassland which is used by animals.

Payments can only be taken in cash at our paygates, and there are no advance ticket sales.
For admission purposes, children are 4-14 years of age and must be accompanied by an adult.
Three-day passes are available on Saturday at twice the day rate.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome so long as they are kept on a lead at all times.
Gates open from 9:00 am
Free shuttle bus service between the Showground and the Victorian Extravaganza.

There is no telephone dedicated to the Transport Festival because there are no permanent staff to answer it.

Trade and Catering Stands:
The postal address for Trade and Catering enquiries only is:

Please contact the Trade and Catering Officer by POST, enclosing a 6" X 9" STAMPED, ADDRESSED ENVELOPE, a statement of the nature of your business and of the space required, and a picture of your set-up. Send in your info and SAE at ANY time, and a form will be sent out to you in January-February time when they are printed. There is no online process, and approaches by email will be directed here.
Trading pitches are 25 feet deep and have a minimum width of 10 feet and are only available for trading over the entire three day event.
Catering pitches are tendered, and only a certain number of tenders for particular sectors will be accepted, again on the basis of three-day trading.
 Car parking:
Car parks for the Transport Festival only will be available on the field adjacent to the festival site.
Other Pay-and-Display car parks are located around the town and should be used by Extravaganza visitors as the number of spaces on Bodafon Fields has been reduced by adjacent building works:

    There are a number of external CAMPING SITES near to the Festival site for vehicle exhibitors and visitors.

    Transport Festival Caravan and Camping Pitches

    Camping pitches are situated on fields adjacent to the exhibition and sales areas. They may be occupied only by prior application to the Festival and are principally for the use of exhibitors who will be present for the entire weekend. Exhibit registration forms include the optional application for camping on site. Please note that there are insufficient camping pitches for all exhibitors, and space is allocated by exhibit class as applications are received. Pitches may be occupied from Friday night until Tuesday morning. Anyone wishing to arrive earlier (Wednesday/Thursday) can opt to pay an additional 'Early Camping' fee per night with their application and receive a discount on the normal nightly rate which will apply otherwise.
    A limited number of pitches are available at a higher nightly rate for non-exhibitors and are referred to as 'Public Camping' for which you should apply in the same manner as exhibit registration. Please note that camper vans are subject to a maximum length of 28 feet (including towbar or additional stowage). Fifth-wheel campers can not be accommodated.

    CAMPING PLOTS FOR EXHIBITORS ARE NOW FULL.

    If you wish to occupy any space for caravan or camper van, for any number of nights, then you must fill-in
    the APPLICATION FORM for membership of the Transport Festival Caravan and Camping Club
    and return it with your vehicle registration form requesting camping space.

    The reason for this requirement is the increasing regulation of temporary licenses for caravan and camper occupancy. For your security and our peace of mind, it is necessary to become affiliated to an appropriate caravanning association.

    If you do not fill in and return your membership application form we will be unable to accept your request for caravan or van space. You will note that there is NO additional charge for membership.
